Northwest Vintage Guitars is thrilled to bring you a super funky, great playing 80's Schaller Rockoon RCB-50. These were made by Kawai for Schaller of Germany and were sold in the Japanese domestic market and select international markets. It is a rare occurance in the USA to see this model. She's in great shape with a glossy deep black finish, striking ivory binding, Gotoh Resolite replacement tuners, and the factory issued pickups and electronics in 100% original condition. A lightweight basswood body, maple neck, and a dark slab rosewood fretboard round out the tonewood selection. Kawai's proprietary "Hotbass Momount" blade style pickups sound so cool with a wide variety of tones from moody low rumbles to honky, burpy punch. Can you dig it?
The nut measures 1.62", neck depth is .85"-94" on a medium C with a thick fretboard that almost feels like a U. It plays cleanly on freshly leveled and polished frets, a new set of 45-105 nickels and perfect intonation. No wonkiness to the neck and the truss rod works as it should. 8.5 pounds. Comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
