Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a well loved and very vibey Morales branded "Mosrite Ventures" model made in Japan by Zen-on in the 1960's. These were a very high end model at the time and were built to be much more serious guitars than a lot of the Guyatone and Teisco builds of the same era. These feature the same Zero fret setup as the Mosrites of the day with a multi laminated neck and Rosewood fretboard. There is a replaced 3 way switch on this one. The bridge pickup is a replacement from another Morales of the same vintage and is the same model pickup as the original. The bridge reads 10 ohms, the neck comes in at 10.46 ohms. Very warm and thick together.
The nut measures 1.62", neck depth is .81"-.85" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a very Mosrite slim C profile. 25" scale, 9.5" radius, 10.4 lbs. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It's wearing a fresh set of Ernie Ball 10-46 nickel Slinkys on perfect spec action at 4 and 3/64". There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
