NW Vintage Guitars brings you the best version of Yamaha’s early SA series. It’s a Natural finish that shows off the beautiful Beech and Maple top back and sides. These were built at the Nippon Gakki plant and the SA90 was the highest tiered model in the Super Axe line. They feature a solid Maple block running down the center much like the ES335 if the day. The maple neck is straight and the frets have lots of life left. The Humbuckers are purpose made for this model only and have a 1974 date stamp. They read 7.82 ohms at the neck and 7.72 ohms at the bridge and yield a great biting tone that almost have a P90 quality with excellent clarity and warmth. The elegant Yamaha branded leather clad gold trapeze tailpiece is majestic. And original molded saddles are all in great condition and 100% operational with no chips or cracks. It's a resonant package that has great sympathetic overtones and harmonics.
