Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a wonderful Morris W60 Dreadnought that sounds fantastic and has the looks that kill. This is Morris's loose interpretation of Martin's D41 with X Bracing, a Solid Select Spruce top, Semi-Solid Rosewood back and sides with a Chestnut center piece. The highs are rich and clear while the lows are very deep. The entire tonal pallette is awash in glorious overtones. Very very nice.
The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .87"-1.01" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck profile is a very accessible and comfy vintage V carve. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The freshly polished frets are just starting to show some wear and easily have most of their life left in front of them. It plays cleanly up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. It's got a fresh set of phosphor bronze 12s and the action is set at 2.9mm on the low E, 1.7mm on the high E with 3mm saddle heigh and room to go lower if desired. There are a couple top cracks that were professionally repaired by our local legend luthier, scattered dings, dents and scratches as pictured. The brass bridge pins are not original.
Comes safely packed in the hard case in the photos and includes all the case candy including the case candy in the photos.
