Northwest Vintage Guitars is very proud to present a 1978 Alembic MSG Series II with an original brochure and user manual.  The tonewood selections include a Black Walnut/Maple/Mahogany body, a 5 piece neck through body Maple/Purpleheart laminated neck, and a gorgeous Ebony fretboard.  It's the 24 5/8" medium scale version that features Schaler tuners and brass hardware all around.

The nut measures 1.63", neck depth is .82"-.86" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.   It's a thin C profile as was the parlance of the times.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  The Series II electronics all function as they should and will keep you busy for days.   It's a unique filter based system that doesn't boost or cut.  Very unique, very clean low impedence pickups.  It plays cleanly up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.  Very little fret wear - hard to see any on freshly polished frets and new nickel strings.

Included is a custom made stereo to mono adapter with the proper circuit contained in the female casing, but the original power supply is not included.  It runs on the 2 9v backup batteries (not included) and can be plugged into a statndard amp input.  Power supply modules are still available and can be used on this one with no modifications.

There are scattered dents, dings, scratches, and wear marks as pictured.   It looks like there was once a Roland Synth Pickup installed at one time and the mounting holes were filled and color matched.  There is a small crack in the end of the fretboard - none of this affects playability and it remains in excellent playable condition.  The fretmarker led's are not operating.
