Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a Sqare Neck Model 27 Dobro from 1979. OMI of California made this specifically for asian retailer Mataki Musical Instruments in Japan. The Mataki branding is on the badge on the back of the headstock, on the case, and on the Warranty card from OMI. It’s a clean package with the original case, a cool vintage resin filled slide with a canvas case, and the aforementioned warranty card. It’s loud and articulate. Very fun to play. It has some lacquer checking as is expected from an instrument of this age, but it works flawlessly. 1.9" nut, 25" scale, and set up with a fresh set of Phospher Bronze 12's that sound great. No rattles or buzzes from the spider and cone. These are bolt up necks and very adjustable. Perfectly simple and very durable instruments and this one has a very cool patina and ver very little playwear. Serial number D3839.
