Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to present a very early 1981 Lee Ritnour Signature Model made by Fujigen for Ibanez.  The LR10 model was introduced in 1982, but this has a December 1981 production date so it'e one of the earliest.  And it has the early spec Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with the Abalone fret markers, Ivory binding, and a brass nut.  The top and back are subtlly and elegantly triple bound flamed Maple, and the set neck is 3 piece Mahogany with Lee's preferred Asymetrical neck profile.   Mahogany was also used for the center block for a "rounded sound and dramatically increase sustain," according to the 1982 catalog.

The nut measures 1.72", neck depth is .85"-.88" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.   It's approximately a 24.75" scale and a 12" radius.  Polished frets with a fresh set of nickel 10's.  The tall medium frets have most of their life left in front of them, but are showing wear and some small divots in the cowboy chord area.  It plays cleanly on low action with no unwarranted buzzing.

The knobs are not original.  The binding rot in the pictures has been shored up with CA Glue and is stable.  There are scattered dings and bumps as pictured.  8.1 lbs.  Comes with the original hard case in the photos.
