Northwest Vintage Guitars proudly presents a rare and beautiful Ibanez AR500AV in perfect working order and featuring the Tri-Sound system with Active EQ consisting of a ±6 dB gain knob and a 3-band ±15 dB active EQ (bass, midrange, treble). A switch activates the EQ, powered by a 9V battery, and an LED indicator.  All the switches and knobs to keep you occupied and dial in all those vintage tones.  This model also features a solid Mahogany body with a carved flame Maple top and a set Mahogany neck.   You get all the top shelf inlays and bindings that were the parlance of the times.  The Yamaha Velvet tuners do the trick on the other end and many consider them some of the best ever made.  By 1982, these featured the Super '58 pickups and they deliver in spades reading 8.0 ohms at the neck and 7.3 at the bridge.  You can dial in everything from vintage PAF style tones to the compressed Steve Lukather tones post The Tubes sessions.

The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .85"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's a medium C profile that everyone knows and loves. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It received a lot of love and care in our shop including binding repair and scraping, a deep cleaning and polish, frets were glued down, level, crown, polish, cleaned electronics, touched up solder joints and a pro setup. Action is at 4/64" and 4/64" for a smooth playing experience on the fresh set of D'Addario 10-46 nickel strings.  24.75" scale, 10.13 resonant pounds, and compound 7.25"-9.5" radius.  There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
