Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1984 Fernandes FPB-PJ120 The Function Bass with the EMG PJ active pickups and factory active electronics. This was one of the top of the line models in 1984 and it really shines. The EMG pickups produce a smooth and powerful tone with great sustain. There's very little wear on the freshly polished frets and the Thomasik nickel strings are ready to rock.
The nut measures 1.52", neck depth is .85"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an oval medium C that will feel very familiar. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Everything works as it should, there is no wonkiness to the neck and plenty of life left in the frets.
