Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a sweet and super clean 1985 Fender Boxer Stratocaster Model ST-556 in Torino Red and featuring a Fender branded FS-1 tremolo system. And it's near all original sans the tremolo arm. Made at the famed Fujigen factory in Japan, the Boxer series was an early Strat variant marketed as a more high performance model with higher output Dragster and Hot Rod pickups, bigger frets, and a locking trem system. And the TBX tone control system brings it all together. And this one is in the ever so desirable Torino Red.
These Super Strats feature a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a Rosewood Fretboard with 21 Medium Jumbo Frets. You also get the Black Headstock. Very heavy Brad Gillis vibes here.
The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .84"-.87" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's s slim C profile to aid in the shreddin'. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. 25.5" scale, 9.5" Radius, 9.1 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the Gig Bag in the photos.
