Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a mojo soaked Telecaster Custom from 1985. Fender's TC-72 is their 1972 Telecaster Custom reissue featuring a Basswood body, maple neck, and vintage appointments all around. This one came to us with most of the finish peeling from the fretboard so we did the right thing and refinished it in a vintage formula Nitrocellulose Lacquer that will age and check to match the body. It has all new pots, a replacement bridge pickup (non working original included), new switch, and a pro setup. No issues with the neck or the truss rod and the frets are in great shape.
The Neck is an Oval C profile measuring .84"-.94" neck depth and a 1.67" nut. The frets are freshly polished, there's a fresh set of nickel 10-46's, and she's ready to roll. The neck pickup is original and sounds fantastic. Great patina, but a perfect playing, fantastic looking aged Tele Custom.
The "A" Serial number dates this as a 1985 Fender Made in Japan at the Fujigen plant and was intended for the domestic market. It's a very well balanced and resonant 7.4 lbs and comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
