Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a K Serial Fender Japan St-57 Stratocaster with the serial number on the headstock and an Alder body that rings and resonates like it should.  These are very uncommon versions from Fujigen in the late 80's.  80's Fender Japan had serial numbers everywhere except the back of the headstock until finally settling on the heel of the neck for a long time.   The middle pickup has been replaced but the rest is all stock and it sounds great.   There's a hint of patina all around with the faded pickguard, the aged knobs and lightly patinaed vintage style tuners.  And check out that hint of wear starting on the fretboard just waiting for you to add your own mark.

The nut is 1.69", the neck depth is .86"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  The profile is a substantial C that fills the hand nicely with moderate shoulders that provide great access.  The frets have been polished and a fresh set of American Nickel 10-46's are perfectly intonated with a floating trem.  And it only weighs 7.6 lbs.  Comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
