Northwest Vintage Guitars presents s super clean 1990 Gibson Licensed Orville Les Paul model LPS-75 in fantastic condition. She has a set of killer sounding unmarked original Humbuckers that read 7.16 ohms at the neck, 7.55 at the bridge. They have a great tonality and compare favorably with Burstbucker 2 & 3's. Orville was the result of a partnership between Gibson, Kanda Shokai, and Yamano Gakki to produce Gibson licensed designs and distribute them in Japan and other select markets. They were never shipped to US Retailers. These were made in Japan by Kanda Shokai and before you fire up the hate machine and inform us that "these are made in Korea that's why the K serial...." the K stands for Kanda Shokai. Wonderful resonant Mahogany body with a maple top and a mahogany neck.
The nut measures 1.68", neck depth is .83"-.94" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile that's a perfect fit and a little bigger than what Gibson was making at the time. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There's a new bone nut and some reglued inlays on the fretboard. Other than that it's all original kit. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 10.4 lbs. The frets are in remarkable shape and will play cleanly with 1/64" action. Currently set at 4/64"-3/64" and plays great. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed in the extra heavy padded camo soft case/gig bag in the photos.
