Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a Toploader Fender Japan Telecaster model TL43 in Candy Apple Red. The toploader form Tele was made popular by Jimmy Page who used it extensively in the Led Zeppelin albums in the 60's. These Fender Japan version. This one is a Basswood body with a Maple neck and 21 vintage spec frets. The Fender Japan TL Alnico single coils deliver al the tele chime and spank one could want at 6.02k ohms at the neck and 5.13k at the bridge.
The nut measures 1.65", neck depth is .86"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an oval C profile that most folks get along with. 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.6 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio XL 10-46 nickel strings and low action at 1.6mm-1.1mm. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
