Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a mean, clean 2003 Epiphone Black Beauty Les Paul Custom made in Korea. These well crafted Korean Les Pauls are becoming harder and harder to find. The pickups are the stock Epiphone pickups and we've read reviews that compare them to Gibson's venerable modern PAF stlye 490R/498T combo and we agree. Very PAF, very Gibson. The quality, fit and finish of this era of Unsung Korea are well known for being among the best.
The neck is a full, but not chunky C profile with moderate shoulders. It's .86"-.96" so it's not a thin 60's, and not a chunky 50's. It's perfectly in between. The nut measures 1.71" on a 24.75" scale Rosewood neck with pearloid inlays. The action is low, there is no divots or significant wear on any of the frets and they play cleanly up and down the fretboard. The neck is straight, the truss rod works and is prperly adjusted. There's a fresh set of nickel 10-46 strings and it's perfectly intonated. 9.5 lbs. Comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
