Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean 2004-05 Fender Aerodyne Stratocaster Medium Scale in Gun Metal Blue and featuring the DiMarzio Collection Full Range Impact pickups. These medium scale (24.75") offerings were made in Japan and sold on the domestic market. They were not sold in the USA. The tonewood selection starts with a resonant Basswood body and a bolt on Maple neck with a dark Rosewood fretboard. These are the earliest versions of the Aerodyne and feature a C profile neck and the aforementioned high gain DiMarzios. It's a limited run that disappeared from the Fender catalogs within a couple years. Hard to find in this color with these specs. And it has all the case candy and docs as pictured.
The nut measures 1.58" , neck depth is .84"-.92" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an oval C carve that feels very comfy and familiar. 24.75" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.62lbs. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are very few scratches and a few dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. This received a full professional service and setup in our shop (a $250 value). The frets have been leveled, dressed, and polished. The Ernie Ball 10-46 nickel strings are perfectly intonated. No disappointments.
