Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Fender Standard MIJ Stratocaster HSH that's 100% original and in perfect working order. This was Fender's Standard Stratocaster platform for the Asian Domestic market and compares favorably with the American Deluxe Strat of that era. It features a Basswood body, Maple neck, and a very dark and grainy Rosewood fretboard. The HSH pickups are all original and the body is factory routed for HSH as pictured. 7.67 ohms at the neck, 7.48 ohms at the bridge, and 5.67 ohms in the middle. Very nice tonality from these stock pickups. Very clear and warm with PAF overtones and well balanced throughout the 5 way selector positions. All very usable.
The neck is an Oval C profile measuring .84"-.93" thick. There is a little wear on the freshly polished frets, but no unwarranted buzzing or dead spots. No twists, cracks, or bows. The truss rod works as it should and is currently adjusted for optimum playability with low action and fresh 10-42 Nickel strings. 7.7 lbs, comes packed in the gig bag in the photos.
