Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a Tobacco Burst Guitar Center Exclusive Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro Plain Top with a couple welcomed mods. First off, the pickups were swapped out for Seymour Duncan Slash Alnico II Pickups handwound in Santa Barbara. Second, a metal jack plate. And the Guitar Center Exclusive Specs include a solid 2-piece Honduran Mahogany body, a Honduran Mahogany one piece neck, a carved bookmatched 2 piece maple top, and a bound dark Rosewood fretboard with pearloid inlays. And they top it all off with a pearloid Gibson inlay on the headstock.
It's a Slim Taper C neck profile which sets it apart from the Asymetrical experiments of the time. The nut measures 1.70", neck depth is .81"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The factory pots with the push/pull volumes are still there, but the Slash Alnico II pickups are 2 wire so there's no coil splitting. No worries though, these pickups are amazing at any volume. Comes safely packed in the original case in the photos. 9.16 lbs.
There are scattered dents, dings and scratches mostly on the back as pictured.
