Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a genuine BC Rich USA Mockingbird Bass from 1977.  These early BC Rich offerings are a beast of their own with the neck through body construction, wild electronics, and iconic design.   This one has seen some mods and was a bit of a basket case when we got her.   We quickly ordered the necessary boost circuit and 6 Way Rotary switch all pre wired from Neal Moser so we know it's vintage correct.   There's a replaced mini toggle, non original knobs, an added XLR output route, and some creative body sculpting.  It's very cool and has the feel of a well loved instrument.  We did completely remove numerous stickers but we had to leave the chick pic on the upper horn.  It's got a a story and you can fill in the blanks.

The tonewood selections include a Koa and Maple Laminate neck through body and an Ebony Fretboard.  This must be a very early 1977 bass as it features the BC Rich High Output Pickups outlined in their 1976 Catalog.  The Badass bridge is standard kit for this era.  We will include the XLR Jack to plug the added routing if desired.

The nut measures 1.67", neck depth is .86"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.   It's a very familiar medium C profile.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  The Jumbo frets are polished and fresh Nickel 100-045 strings.  It plays cleanly up and down the fretboard on medium action with no unwarranted buzzing.  9.09 lbs, comes safely packed in the OHSC in the photos.
