Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1989 BC Rich Mockingbird Bass from the NJII Series. The black hardware and Blue burst finish are only available on the NJII series. BC Rich called this the MB model and there were a number of different tiers and some of them featured the extra fancy Super 2100 neck. It's an Alder Body and an "Ebonite" fretboard that's much like a shiny Richlite.
The nut measures 1.63", neck depth is .80"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a Medium C profile that get's a flat spot in the middle up around the 12th fret. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder. The early versions of these pickups were sold as "Bass Lines." 1V, 1T, 3 way toggle, 2 tone/eq, and a coil split. Lot's of tonal options. A Crack developed on the back of the neck behind the truss rod as pictured. We excavated a small amount of material around the TR nut and sealed the crack with CA Glue. It's solid and not going anywhere.
Comes safely packed in the BC Rich Mockingbird Gig bag in the photos. 8.8 lbs.
