Northwest Vintage Guitars presents an ultra rare Canyon W-60 Dreadnought constructed by Yamaki in the Guild style for Nikoh Musical Instruments of Japan in the 1970's and available via mail order only.   These are fantastic examples of the lawsuit era offerings with adornments-o-plenty all the way around and featuring top quality materials combined with expert craftsmanship by top tier luthiers.  The model W-60 was priced at 60,000 yen in the 70's which was quite a lot considering most Japanese made around 150,000 yen/year in 1975.  It features a solid Spruce top and laminate Rosewood back and sides.   It has great projection, note separation, and clarity while remaining warm and well voiced all the way around.

The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .93"-1.07" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's a comfy soft V profile that feels very expensive.  25" scale, 16" radius, 4.97 lbs.  Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 12-53 bronze strings.  Our luthier re-glued the neck block and heel block, leveled, crowned, dressed and polished the frets and fitted a new saddle while giving it a pro setup.  Action is at factory spec 6/64"-4/64" and it plays great.   The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  There are a few scratches, dents and dings as pictured.   The tail block received an impact at some point and the back cracked in it's footprint, but our luthier reattached it all and it's solid as a rock.  There is blushing under the finish as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.   Comes safely packed and fully insured in the vintage hard case in the photos.
