Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Casio curiosity from the 80's in this EG-5 Electric Guitar with built in Cassette player/recorder. The Cassette player can play your favorite tapes so you can play along or record your playing. It’s got a tape speed dial, phones out, line in, guitar out jack, and runs on 6 C batteries or a standard 9V power supply (not included). We have it set up very well and shred-worthy. It's a plastic body and a Maple neck. We replaced the main drive belt and cleaned the rollers, wheels, and heads. Everything works exactly as it should.
The nut measures 1.67", neck depth is .85"-.89" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an oval C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario XL 10-46 nickel strings. 24" scale, 14" radius. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. A real fun oddity from the 80's. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
