Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Charvel Model 2B Bass with a slick EMG upgrade. The 2B was Charvel's workhorse bass of the late 80's, early 90's and it's easy to see why. It features a quartersawn Maple body, Maple neck and a dark Rosewood fretboard with great life left on the freshly leveled, crowned and polished frets. The unmarked EMG's read 10.04K ohms and there's a 9V battery in there. Seems to act as a boost in this circuit. It all comes safely packed and fully insured in the padded gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.67", neck depth is .80"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a nice medium C profile. 34" scale, 7.25" radius, 8.74 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with American made 45-105 round wound strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a couple scratches and dings as pictured. There is a repaired fretboard separation and finish fill that's rock solid and hard to see. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
