Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a killer Danelectro 59DC Long Scale Bass in Excellent condition and a $260 Mono case. This is one of the good ones made in Korea, not China. Long regarded as the best of the reissues and dating to 1998. It's in great shape and plays like a champ. The lipstick pickups yield that distinctive Dano tone and throaty warm punch. The neck reads 3.16k ohms and the bridge is at 3.34k.
The nut measures 1.645", neck depth is .81"=.84" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a Dano C shape that most folks like just fine. 34" scale, 12" radius, 6.47 lbs. Accurately intonated, frets leveled, crowned and polished. Action is set at 1.9mm-1.5 for an easy playing experience. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few handling and polishing marks as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
