Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to present a near mint Fender '62 Stratocaster ST-62TX crafted in Japan by Fujigen in 2004. It's got all the vintage '62 appointments from the "Fender" stamped saddles to the nickel Vintage Kluson Style tuners. You get the solid Alder body, a rock Maple neck, chrome and nickel hardware, a slab Rosewood fretboard and Vintage spec frets. It's all in a tidy and nearly unplayed mint condition.
The nut measures 1.6", .88" at the 1st fret, .96" at the 12th on a medium C carve that feels great in the hand. Very vintage feel to the neck. The vintage spec frets have inperceptible fret wear and she plays cleanly up and down the neck with no dead spots or issues. The truss rod turns easily in both directions and is adjusted for optimum playability. There's a fresh set of D'Addario Nickel XL 10s on there with a freshly cleaned and hand polished fretboard. Intonation is set and the action is low. The trem is decked but easy to operate with perfect spring tension to bring everything back to pitch.
What can be said about Fender's Texas Specials that hasn't been said before? Let's just say they are a lot of folks favorite and leave it at that. The Bridge measures 6.0 ohms, Middle 5.9 ohms, and the Neck is 6.0 ohms. Staggered pole pieces just like back in the day. It's a great Vintage style package that both looks and feels like a '62 strat. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photo.
