These faithful renditions of the classic tele thinline are better than they've ever been. This version of the Wide Range Humbucker is the best we've heard from Japan. The bold grained Ash body makes a statement and the lightly flamed Maple neck fits like a glove. And the fit and finish is immaculate. It's mint and only 6.8 lbs.
The nut measures 1.64", .88"-.93" neck depth on a very accurate 70's U shape carve. The pickups read 7.9 ohms at the neck and 8.1 ohms at the bridge. Chords bloom, notes sing. They're great pickups - and i'm not a Wide Range Humbucker fan per se, but i'm a huge fan of these new CuNiFe Humbuckers from Fender Japan. The frets have no wear, this is a new old stock item. There are no blemishes or dings or scratches that we can find.
You get a compliment of vintage apopointments in this reissue. The F tuners are far better than their 70's counterparts, flat top knobs, top hat switch tip, cast block saddles, and the aforementioned CuNiFe Humbuckers. It's set up with Nickel 10's, perfectly intonated, and relief has been adjusted for optimum playability. Comes safely and securely packed in the original Fender branded gig bag in the photos and includes the case candy/literature in the photos. No disappointments.
