These discontinued and rare offerings featuring a "Drop Top" that gives it a carved effect. And this is the Japan Domestic version so distribution was limited. Tonewood selections are a Basswood Body, Maple Neck, and a dark and luxurious Rosewood fretboard with 22 vintage spec frets. It's a breeze to play and it looks like a fancy night on the town.
The Oval C neck profile is comfy and accessible. The nut measures 1.68", the neck depth is .85"-.95" at the first and twelfth frets respectively. Plays cleanly and effortlessly up and down the fretboard on low action and a fresh setup. There is a shallow rout under the vintage tailpiece. This allows the bridge to be level and still float with added upward bending range. A couple color paint fills are hard to see. Comes safely packed in the Fender branded case in the photos and includes the case candy too. 7.51 lbs.
