Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare first generation Fender Hybrid Telecaster in Charcoal Frost Metallic. These early Hybrid offerings are loaded with the American Vintage '58 pickups that are amazing. In fact, they are so amazing that Fender stopped putting them in production Telecasters and now use them exclusively in the Custom Shop and American Vintage USA offerings. The bridge reads 6.68k ohms and the neck comes in at 13.7k ohms. They deliver all the sweet vintage Tele spank and sparkle one could desire. And they reach humbucker land when combined in series or parallel via the 4 way selector switch. It's an Alder body, Maple neck and a dark Rosewood fretboard.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .89"-.92" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C carve that feels great in the hand and has slightly rolled edges. 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.78 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio XL 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The fretboard has been cleaned and conditioned. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. A few color fills as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the Fender padded gig bag in the photos.
