Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean Fender Medium Scale (24.75") Pro Feel Stratocaster model STM-65R made in Japan at the famed Fujigen factory. The Pro Feel series was adorned with modern features, humbuckers, and many had Floyd Rose locking trems. The STM-65R features two Dragster Humbuckers and a Single coil in the middle with 1V, 1T, and a 5 way switch. The Fender branded "Trans Trem" is a licensed Floyd Rose unit with a locking nut. The Humbuckers read in the 7.7k ohm range while the single coil middle reads 4.25k. It gives you a great array of options for tones. Basswood body, maple neck, and a dark Rosewood fretboard.
The nut measures 1.60" , neck depth is .73"-.82" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a thin C profile to aid in the shredding activity. 24.75" scale, 16" radius, 8.19 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio XL 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Action is set at 1.5mm-1.25mm. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished. The trem post inserts were cracked out and leaning. Our luthier has repaired a number of these and this one received multiple Maple dowel reinforcements, a new Mahogany top plate, and color fill to match. Its rock solid and we guarantee this fix. There are very few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original padded gig bag in the photos.
