Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean and very rare Fender Thinline Special from their J-Craft Collection around 2005-2006 and it's only 6.6 lbs. These feature a super lightweight Chambered Ash body, a Canadian Maple neck, and a slew of vintage appointments. Throw in the Texas Special bridge and middle pickups and you get all the vintage Fender chime and spank you could ever need. These came stock with a Fender Dragster humbucker, but they suck. Lucky for us, this was delivered without a neck pickup and we took that opportunity to install a Tokai MK PAF pickup that reads a perfect 7.4 ohms and sounds incredible. The 4 way selector lays out as follows: 1. Bridge 2. Center & Bridge 3. Neck and Bridge 4. Center 5. Neck. And they're all good.
The nut measures 1.675", neck depth is .86"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a very nice medium C profile with moderate shoulders. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 25.4" Scale, 9.8" radius. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured - mostly on the back. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing on freshly polished frets with no perceptible fretwear and new nickel 10's. Comes safely packed in the Fender padded Gig Bag in the photos.
