Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a near mint 1987 Fender Stratocaster in 3 Tone Sunburst and featuring a solid Alder body, Rosewood fretboard, and a 9.5" radius. This era of Strats was a modern take on a classic with high mass block saddles, a two point trem, and the TBX that expands tonal options beyond a standard tone knob, using a center detent to switch from treble cut to bass cut, allowing you to dial in standard warmth or add brightness/presence. And this one is near mint with very very little play wear at all and the inspection tag.
The nut measures 1.7", neck depth is .83"-.89" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a svelte C profile that's easy to navigate. 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.9 lbs. Freshly strung with D'Adarrio 10-46 nickel strings and accurately intonated. The frets have been leveled, dressed and polished. Action is low at 1.65" and 1.25". The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It is in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the padded gig bag in the photos.
