Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a mojo soaked Gibson J45 Early model with a ton of patina and weather checking. This one has an under saddle pickup of unknown manufacture that works great. It even includes the original sales certificate from the retailer for warranty registration. It is well voiced with a clear and poignant high end with a well defined midrange and warm bass. It's a workhorse that's been played. There's been number competently executed repairs over the year and a bit of refinishing. There is a side crack repair, top crack repair, back crack repair, and tail block reglue. There is a dent repair on the back of the neck, a finish repair over the soundhole and in front of the bridge, and the bridge has been reattached. All executed by accomplished luthiers.
The nut measures 1.72", neck depth is .88"-1.01 at the 1st and 10th frets respectively. It's a full 50's C profile that people want in their hand. 24.5" scale, 12" radius, 4.4 lbs. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. Freshly strung with D'Adarrio 12-53 Bronze strings. The saddle is an intonated bone replacement. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and weather checking as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original Gibson branded hard case in the photos.
