Northwest Vintage Guitars presents one of our favorite acoustics - a 2004 Yamano Limited Run Gibson J45 Sunburst with 50's appointments and the Orange Label. This one has been fitted with an under saddle pickup that sounds great. These Yamano Gibsons are akin to a Wildwood spec. Yamano was Gibson's #1 distributor in the worlds 2nd largest guitar market and they had some pull at Corporate. So when Yamano requested these special models, Gibson complied for one year - 2004. This one comes with the original hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.74", neck depth is .85"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a wonderful medium C carve that's not a baseball bat and not thin - just perfect. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It has a fantastic patina starting with a bit of weather checking, but very little play wear. There's a fresh set of D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 12-53 strings on leveled, crowned, and polished frets. There are a few scratches and some weather checking as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
