It's a striking package that possesses the vibe and feel of a road worn vintage instrument. It's truly amazing.
The Warren Haynes ES-335 was limited to 500 total and was crafted in Gibson's Memphis facility. The Memphis plant was well known for their Custom Shop Quality "Gibson Custom" products. It's a recreation of Warren's 1961 ES-335 right down to the neck profile and there is a lot out there in the interweb about it.
Features a custom version of Gibsons '57 Classic PAF pickups with aged covers and polepieces. All the plastic, screws, finish, binding, and metal hardware has been meticulously aged and reliced to look the part of a 60+ year old instrument. The nicks and dings pair well with the detailed weather checking. It's a work of art.
She tips the scales at 7.9 lbs, 1.72" nut, and .81"-.89" fret depth on a slim C profile that has ample shoulder in the cowboy chord area that dimishes to moderate shoulder at the 12th fret. Very comfy, very accessible. The frets are in great shape with no divots or dead spots. She plays very well up and down the fretboard. The bridge measures 7.99 ohms while the neck is 7.51 ohms. The neck pickup offers overtone ridden warmth and excellent moody mids with thumping lows. The bridge pickup is incredible with clear warm high and a strident mid that sounds amazing with a bit of drive. No disappointments here.
the package includes the original COA with Warren Haynes signature on the cover, all the case candy from Gibson and CME that is in the photos. There is also an aged switch tip and the original knobs.
