Northwest Vintage Guitars presents an Ibanez S540 LTD Custom Model built by Fujigen in 1997 and featuring the Quantum Pickups. The S540 boasts a solid Mahogany body, a Maple neck, and a Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and killer Shark Tooth inlays. The Quantum pickups replaced the IBZ line in 1995 and it was a welcomed changed. The IBZs tone had grown long in the tooth and something more versatile and rounded was needed. You get 1V, 1T, and a 5 way switch. The original Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge Double Locking Tremolo is cleaned, lubricated and operates flawlessly.
The nut measures 1.70", neck depth is .68"-.83" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There is very little wear on the freshly polished frets and the new nickel 10 Slinkys play cleanly and effortlessly up and down the fretboard.
