Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a hand built Kazuo Yairi DY28 All Solid Wood Dreadnought. This beautiful K. Yairi DY28 is basically a hand built Martin template guitar with Solid Rosewood back and sides and a Solid Spruce top. And it's signed on the neck block by the master himself, Kazuo Yairi. The sound has opened up very nicely. Bridge has been reattached, frets replaced at some point, Some overspray on the top. 6/64" Low E, 5/64 High E with relief at .010". Truly a great playing guitar that needs nothing.
The nut measures 1.67", neck depth is .84"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a very unique C profile with a faint soft V. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The tone is bold and full. Warm singing highs combine with a present mid and defined but not overwhelming bass. There are 3 professionally repaired and cleated top cracks and a pro refret.
There are scattered scratches, dents, and dings but remains in excellent playable condition. Comes safely packed in the original hardshell case in the photos.
