Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you an Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty in 100% original condition. The Orville by Gibson brand was a partnership with Yamano Gakki and this beauty was crafted in the famed Terada factory exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and very few made it to the states. It's a faithful recreation of a 50's Les Paul Custom with the gold hardware, 5 layer binding front and back, PAF style pickups, a solid mahogany body, and a one piece mahogany neck. The ABR-1 style bridge has the keeper wire and the front pickup ring is 50's spec height.
The PAF pickups deliver that vintage tone with a bright and responsive bridge pickup that really shines on overdrive. the neck pickup gives that signature slightly scooped mid with articulate, warm highs and woody lows.
The nut measures 1.70", neck depth is .83"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a very familiar C profile that fits the hand comfortably and offers great access. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. She received a pro setup here in our shop and a fresh set of nickel 10-46 strings that are perfectly intonated. The frets are polished and ready for action. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 9.57 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the Gibson hard case in the photos.
