Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a bizarre guitar made in Japan in 1979 by the Zen-On Music Co, the Morales BM-70.  The Morales line of guitars was distributed exclusively by Zen-on and Morales was one of their top two guitar brands.  The BM Series Guitars are a bit of an oddity in that they are closest in size to a Martin 0000 Size like the M14 or JM guitars.  They're big.  But the BM is over 1/2" thinner than a comparable Martin.  It's it's own thing.  Production of the BM was supervised by Mr Mac Yasuda in Suwa, Japan.  Mac designed the BM guitars and they are dubbed the "Big Mac" or BM models after him.  The tonewood selection featured a Solid Spruce top, laminate Rosewood back and sides and a Mahogany neck with 20 frets in a bound Rosewood fretboard.

The nut measures 1.74", neck depth is .86"-.94" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  The neck profile is a very vintage feeling full V.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  She has a fresh set of Phosphor Bronze lights, nicely polished frets, and the action is set at 2.5mm on the low E and 2.0mm on the high E with perfect saddle height as pictured.  It's a 25.5" scale length.

The tuners are non original.  There are scattered dings, dents, and scratches as shown, but remains in excellent playable condition.  The bridge has been reglued.  Comes safely packed in the Hardshell case in the photos.
