Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean 1981 Morris WJ-50 Everly Brothers style Jumbo with the mustache double pickguard. Surprising tone from this one especially at this price point. The WJ-50 features a Solid Spruce top, Jacaranda back and sides, a bound Rosewood fretboard and stylish star inlays. Like we said, this one is a good one with nice note separation, clear highs and warm lows. Includes the Yamaha Hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.64", neck depth is .88"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a full C profile. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 5.15 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 12-53 bronze strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets have been leveled, dressed and polished. Saddle height is 2.3mm and the bridge has been notched to improve breakover angle. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. There is a crack on the side of the headstock through the tuner screws that is glued up solid. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
