Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a killer K Serial Orville Les Paul Standard in stunning Lemon Drop. These are fantastic Les Pauls made in Japan in a Licensing agreement with Yamano Gakki and Kanda Shokai. Not a Les Paul copy - this was Gibson's product. They are very faithful renditions of classic Les Pauls with a solid Mahogany body, one piece Mahogany neck, and a bookmatched plain maple top that's incredible. These feature the MIJ Orville Humbuckers and they steal the show.
She's a great player after we leveled, dressed, and polished the frets to offer a flawless playing experience with perfect intonation and a fresh set of nickel 10-46 strings made in the good 'ol USA. The nut measures 1.69", fret depth is .88-.93" on a medium C profile that maintains consistent shoulder. Very nice in the hand. It's your Gibson spec 12" radius and 24.75" scale. As you can see from the photos, she's got a few bumps and bruises, but she wears them very well. It's a great player that's a 10 from 10 feet and you won't have to worry about banging her up a bit. The pickups read 8.66 ohms at the bridge and 8.72 at the neck. They deliver an open and woody tonality with warm highs and slightly scooped mids over some nice full lows. Dieal up the V knob and it delivers a forthright attack and fantastic rock tone. It sounds like a Les Paul, feels like a Les Paul, and looks like a Les Paul. Because it is a Les Paul. These had a K Serial number on a sticker on the back of the headstock and this one is missing. We left the witness mark for posterity. 8.8 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the vintage 70's Japan hard case in the photos. The groovy yellow lining is stained but clean and odor free. Can you dig it?
