Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to present a very early and extremely rare David Webber dreadnought D 18 style cut away acoustic. David Webber officially started manufacturing Guitars in 1993 so this would be a pre-production build and it doesn’t match the specifications of anything from the later Webber catalogs.  David didn't advertise and relied on word of mouth and a very limited dealer network to to sell his instruments and build his production facility.   He also did many Commissioned Builds and this may be one of those.  It’s a very impressive instrument.

The expertly crafted Florentine Cutaway appears to be a one-off during his early pre production period  Incredible access to the upper registers, thunderous projection for its size, and a harmonic clarity that is rare to find in any guitar. It has some very unique specs so here’s the rundown; 25.5 inch scale, 15.25 inch lower bout, 12 inch upper bout, 5 inch thick tapering toward the heel 1.88 inch nut, .79 inch first fret depth, .91 inch 12th fret, and traditional X bracing. Since it wasn’t a production model, we don’t have the exact specs, but it sounds fantastic and has medium action with excellent bridge height and moderate saddle height.  It's a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Flame Mahogany back and sides. Detailed and elegant Abalone inlays like the Custom Webbers of later years. Comes safely packed in the Teton branded case in the photos with all working harware and no odors. No disappointments.
