Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare high end Made in Japan Rockoon Super Material RB-42 Bass with an Ash body. These top tier instruments were made by Kawai in collaboration with Schaller of Germany. They use the finest materials, professional design and expert craftsmanship to create these unique basses. This is a PJ style with the neck Pickup reading 11.0k ohms and the bridge 5.63. It's a very versatile bass with room filling lows, articulate warm mids and plenty of punch.
The nut measures 1.59", neck depth is .83"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy C neck profile most folks will love. 31.5" scale, 14" radius, 6.86 lbs, 2V, 1T, passive pickups. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with Nickel 45-105 Round wound strings. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed in the faux leather padded gig bag in the photos.
