Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a honey of a D35 style Dreadnaught in this Sada Yairi YD-305 with a resonant solid Spruce Top and 3 piece Rosewood back. It's bold, it's sweet and it's loud like a D35. The Yairi family of luthiers is well known as one of Japan's greatest lineage. And Sada Yairi was considered the best of the bunch. Take this dreadnought for example - X-braced solid spruce top with carefully hand sculpted braces complimented with 3-piece Rosewood back and semi-solid Rosewood sides. It gets a solid Mahogany neck with a faux bird beak relic in the diamond volute. It has a bold sound that projects well and has a defined bottom end. Easy to play with low action at 2.25 mm on the low E, 1.25 mm on the high E. Plenty of saddle height. No truss rod on this model and when strung up with 12 to 56 80/20 bronze, there is 0.002" relief. The finish is checking over the top and back - it looks so cool.
