Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to bring you a Threes NY-350 Parlor guitar made by Suzuki Violin Co in 1977. This beauty was an homage of sorts to the 0-45 Martin that Bob Dylan borrowed from Joan Baez and performed a legendary set with the punchy and clear little parlor. There are videos out there.
It's a solid Spruce top, Rosewood Semi-Solid back and sides, with a Mahogany Neck. Semi-solid construction uses 2 aligned plates of tonewood instead of 3 ply cross grain laminate with inferior core woods. It looks and sounds like solid sides and back.
The Marinesque "Torch" inlay on the headstock and the Abalone inlay all around the top complete the 0-45 styling. It's clearly a high end guitar with a clear and punchy tonality that's unattainable in a dreadnaught.
The nut measures 1.72", the fret depth is .90"-1.02" on a very cool vintage V profile and a 24" scale that gives it a great tone. It feels like you are playing something much older than 47 years old. There are two repaired top cracks, action is perfect at 2.5 mm, the saddle is low but no buzzing and every string rings clear. Comes safely packed in the chipboard case in the photos.
