Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a vintage 1981 Tokai Love Rock Les Paul model LS-50 with cream Gotoh humbuckers that sound great. You get a Solid Mahogany body, a carved Maple top, a long tenon Mahogany set neck with a bound Rosewood fretboard. These are fantastic LP copies that punch way above their weight and have gained a cult following all around the world. Highly skilled craftsmen were tasked with the construction of the Love Rock line and only the best materials - and it shows. The Gotoh pickups deliver PAF tone in spades and read 8.22k ohms at the neck and bridge. Comes safely packed in the vintage padded faux leather gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.70", neck depth is .84"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great medium C profile that's perfect - not too big and not too small. 24.75" scale, 10" radius, 8.38lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio EXT 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It received a fret level, crown and polish here in our shop and plays fantastic. It took a hit on the heel at some point in it's past and there's some witness lines at the joint and along the fretboard but everything there is stable and not moving. It stays in tune and plays great. There is a finish fill on the heel as pictured. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
