Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a mojo soaked 1979 Fender Stratocaster with a Solid Ash body and rare Sienna Burst with the original hard shell case, original strap, and bridge cover. These are some of the best CBS strats available in our humble opinion. Great pickups, excellent body woods, and all kinds of groovy mojo. This one has all original parts including the plastic bobbin pickups that read 5.88k neck, 5.85k middle and 7.69k at the neck. None of that ice picky shrillness in the bridge position. All the hinges and latches on the original case are intact and it included the case candy in the photos.
The nut measures 1.61", neck depth is .81"-.92" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an oval C carve that really defined an era. 25.5" scale, 7.25" radius, 9.08 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio XL 10-46 nickel strings. The frets have been leveled, dressed and polished but there are some faint divots and light buzzing under the G string. Nothing to get all worked up about. The neck is straight, the truss rod is lightly engaged and turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. There is some finish wrinkling as pictured. The thick polyurethane finish has been stripped from the fretboard, the back of the headstock, and back of the neck. The beck of the neck has been oiled and feels amazing. Way better than the poly. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
