Northwest Vintage Guitars presents another great offering from Yamaha's Custom Shop - a 1998 LL33J with a Solid Spruce Top, Select Indian Rosewood back and sides, an Ebony bridge, and a Snowflake adorned Ebony Fretboard. There is very little playwear and she sounds amazing. These Yamaha Custom shop beauties are made in limited numbers from carefully selected and sourced tonewoods. Only the most skilled and experienced luthiers worked in the Custom Shop.
The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .82"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. Its a very comfy faint V carve that sits in the hand nicely. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Action is at 2.5mm on the low E and 1.6mm on the high E and plays easily up and down the fretboard with no dead spots. Saddle is at 2.3mm with great breakover angle. The frets are in great shape and are just starting to show wear with approx 90% remaining. Comes safely packed in the case in the photos. There are scattered small dings, scratches, and pick wear as pictures. It remains in excellent playable condition.
