Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a vintage Japanese Morris D41 style Dreadnought Model W40 in a hard case and fresh out of our workshop with a full setup. These Morris guitars are not true Martin copies but more of an homage to the Martin dreadnought design with high quality laminate Spruce and Rosewood construction and Martin X-Bracing. This one comes safely packed in the hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.72", neck depth is .90"-1.00" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a big vintage neck carve that feels great in the hand. 25.5" scale, 14" radius, 4.8 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 12-53 Bronze strings and action is set at 2.6mm and 1.8mm with a 3mm saddle. Very playable and room to go lower. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
