Northwest Vintage Guitars presents an all solid wood construction K Yairi DY41 Dreadnought from 1978.   Hand crafted by the master himself, this high end premier Japanese dreadnought sold for more than the average Japanese annual salary in 1978.  It's made with non-pareil Spruce and Indian Rosewood.  It features a Mahogany neck, Ebony Bridge, and an Ebony fretboard adorned with high quality Abalone inlays.  This was one of the most expensive instruments you could get in the day and it sounds amazing.  25.4" scale, 12" radius, 5.21 lbs.  We often get asked if these Japanese Dreads sound lke Martins and I would put this up against a D42, D45, or D41 any day.   It's just that good.  Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original case in the photos.

The nut measures 1.73", neck depth is .92"-1.04" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.   It's a soft V profile just like a vintage Martin.  Freshly strung with D'Addario Bronze 12-53 strings and factory spec action at 5/64" and 4/64".  The frets are polished and the fretboard is clean and conditioned.   The neck is straight, the truss rod is tight but turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  There are a few scratches and dings as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. The bridge has been removed and shaved just enough to get the action in spec.
