Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a great Hollowbody Electric model AE-11 by Yamaha. The AE-11 was Yamaha's Top of the line Jazz Box guitar of the day with a Spruce top, Maple sides and back, and the killer early Yamaha Humbuckers that don't disappoint. The AE-11 is often compared to the Gibson ES-175, but it's actually bigger and more ornate with multi-layered binding all the way around - even the fretboard. It's a little under 17" wide, 3.4" thick, and sports a 24.75" scale. And the 70's MIJ build quality is second to none. The early Yamaha tuners are in fantastic shape and they are as solid as a tank. Comes safely packed in the modern hard case in the photos, 6.7 lbs.
The nut measures 1.68".85"-.97", neck depth is at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 24.4" scale, aaprox 14 inch radius. One tuner is non original. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. This is a true hollow body, not semi-hollow.
